Spain's Goya Toledo

With a name like "Goya" Toledo, this young native of the Canary Islands was destined to go far in the Spanish film industry. Goya Toledo will be joining 18 of her fellow young European actors at this year’s edition of “Shooting Stars” organised by European Film Promotion, as the Spanish representative. Now in its fifth year, Shooting Stars is an important sidebar event at the Berlin Film Festival. Goya Toledo has appeared in numerous film and TV productions includes Ile a Laura que la quiero, Màas allà del jardìn, Diario di un amor violado and Mariarìa, for which she was nominated for a .. Goya award as best actress in 1998. She has also starred in Die Friemde and was Valeria in Amores perros.
With her natural soap-and-water beauty, Toledo has gradually become one of Spain’s most competent and popular young stars and she recently won the Max Factor award for having the most beautiful face in Spanish cinema.
