Cavalli dresses The Decameron
The Decameron, the film on which Florentine stylist Roberto Cavalli is making his debut as costume supervisor and producer (35%), together with Dino De Laurentiis, Tarak Ben Ammar and Rai Cinema, will be distributed by 01 In Italy from February the 1st, 2006.
The film, made by British filmmaker David Leland, is an adaptation of Giovanni Boccaccio's classic novel and was shot in Viterbo, in Siena and its surroundings. Mischa Barton, famous for playing in the TV soap The O.C. will perform the role of Pampinea, the main character and the part of Lorenzo will be played by Hayden Christensen, Star Wars's Anakin Skywalker.
Over 150 costumes were made, two or three copies of each in case they got torn during the shooting: casual and feminine costumes, according to the stylist/neo-producer's tastes.
