Pelicanman sold to Eastern Europe

The Finnish/Swedish co-production Pelicanman directed by Liisa Helminen has been sold by NonStop Sales to Tallinfilm in Estonia and MCF Distribution operating in the former Yougoslavia. Eastern European TV rights have been sold to Slovenia’s RTV and HBO for Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Moldavia, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and former Yugoslavia.

The children’s film released in Finland by BVI last December has attracted over 114,000 people so far and is still playing in local cinemas.
Produced by Hanna Hemilä (Luminfilm in Finland) and Anita Oxburgh (Migma Film in Sweden)Pelicanman has won many international awards, the most recent one being the Best Feature Award at the Zlin International Film Festival for Children and Youth (Czech Republic) last June.
