Filmmakers in the starting blocks
This week-end (19-21 August), the festival PSP Filmund50, organised by FilmFörderung Hamburg, will dare audacious filmmakers to write, act, direct and edit short films of 5 to 7 minutes in only 50 hours. All the contestants, professional or amateur, will compete under the same conditions, with no pressure (production, promotion, etc.) other than time itself.
The fifteen best films will be published this Autumn on a bonus DVD offered to the readers of TV Movie. Furthermore, a jury, some journalists, and the public will elect their favourites, whose names will be revealed on the 31st of August at the final ceremony to be held at Cinegatestudios. The best team will receive 25,000 euros.
