Frozen Land selected for European Film Awards

Aku LouhimiesFrozen Land (Paha maa) produced by Markus Selin (Solar Films) has been selected by Finland to participate at the 2005 European Film Awards supported by the MEDIA Programme.
The nominations for the 17 categories including Best European Film of 2005, will be officially announced early November, four weeks prior to the Awards ceremony which will take place in Berlin on December 2rd, 2005.

Frozen Land, the most successful Finnish film of the year with over 171,000 admissions since its January release, has already won many international awards including the Special Jury Prize at the last Moscow Film Festival and the Nordic Award and Fipresci Award at the Göteborg Film Festival last January. The film is sold internationally by the L.A. based Birch Tree Entertainment.
