Montreal enjoys Sex, Hope & Love

Lisa Ohlin’s drama Sex, Hope and Love (Sex, hopp & kärlek) was just awarded the ‘Innovation Award’ at the last Montreal World Film Festival which ended on September 5th.
The jury presided over by Greek filmmaker Theo Angelopoulos rewarded the Swedish film for the direction of the actors, in particular Mira Eklund who plays a teenage daughter in the film who witnesses the break-up for her parents marriage.
The third feature film by Lisa Ohlin after the critically acclaimed Waiting For The Tenor (1998) and Seeking Temporary Wife (2003), was produced by Illusion Film in co-production with Film i Väst and SVT in Sweden, Filmhuset Produksjoner in Norway, Angel Production in Denmark, with support from the Swedish Film Institute, the Danish Film Institute, the Norwegian Film Fund and the Nordic Film & TV Fund.
Sex, Hope & Love was released on August 5th by Sonet Film in Sweden.
