A new interim unit chief

As from today, Domenico Raneri will take over the post of unit chief of the MEDIA section of the European Commission, in charge of the programme of the same name. Domenico Raneri replaces Costas Daskalakis who will know concentrate on the restructuring of the new Agency brought in to take the place of the current technical Help Desk D&S which track with aid dossiers.
Since the departure of Jacques Delmoly, there has been no official unit chief for the MEDIA programme. The post should be filled in the coming months.
As for the MEDIA programme, the Culture commission of the European parliament adopted the report by the euro-deputy Ruth Hieronymi for the 2007-2013, underlining notably that the proposed budget of 1,055 milliard euros was the minimum required to attain the fixed objectives. The European parliament’s judgement should be adopted at the plenary session of the 24th October.
