, investigating another dark side of provincial bourgeoisie. The film, distributed by BIM, depicts the mad passion of a young man (Benoît Magimel) for a mysterious girl (Laura Smet) who claims he is planning a murder as a proof of his love.

Lars von Trier will also be represented by Dear Wendy, a script he wrote for the director of Festen, Thomas Vinterberg (cf.making of). This film, designed for the American public, is an anatomy of violence and loneliness, two key-themes for the filmmakers once united in the Dogma group. The main character is interpreted by the young British actor Jamie Bell (Billy Elliott).

France is also sending the comedy Mauvais esprit , starring Thierry Lhermitte and directed by Patrick Alessandrin (former assistant of Luc Besson): Simon, a young and brilliant student in architecture dies, run over by a car driven by a rich businessman, Vincent Porel, who happens to be the person Simon hated most.
