A week ago, Agnieszka Odorowicz announced her resignation from the Ministry in order to be eligible to replace Michał Merczyński, temporary director for a month who was actually her main contender, together with Piotr Reisch, for the final vote. The commission which unanimously chose Odorowicz included Jerzy Kalina, Julisz Machulski, Wojciech Marczewski, and Janusz Morgenstern, amongst others.
30-year-old Agnieszka Odorowicz graduated at the Cracow Economy Academy. She handled the structural Europeans funds for the Ministry of Culture and helped draft the new film Law.
