DVDs Fly High
In the first semester of 2005, the Italian audiovisual market showed a 7% increase in revenue and 26% increase in volume compared to 2004, according Univideo (Italian Union of Audiovisual Publishers) data on DVD and VHS sales and rentals. The results show a particular increase in DVD sales – 61% in volume and 26% in revenue – that counterbalances the continued decline of VHS performance.
