Advance on Receipts for 7 films

by

At their meeting last Thursday, the second committee for the Advance on Receipts of the National Film Centre (CNC) selected 7 projects presented to them by filmmakers who have made at least one feature. Among them, two new films come from historic figures in the Nouvelle Vague: Eric Rohmer with Les Amours d’Astrée et Céladon (produced by the filmmaker’s company) and Jacques Rivette with Ne touchez pas à la hache (Pierre Grise Productions). But the commission, presided over by Claude Durand, aided notably by producers Bruno Pesery and Caroline Benjo also included La France, the second feature project from Serge Bozon (Les Films Pelléas) who made L’Amitié in 1997 (and the short-long Mods in 2002). Actress Isild Le Besco also features on the list of the happy winners Charlie (production Sangcho) which will be her second feature, following Demi-tarif in 2003.
