Daniel Auteuil re-finds Patrice Leconte

After La fille sur le pont n 1999 which won a Cesar for best actor and La Veuve de Saint-Pierre in 2000, Daniel Auteuil will tunr over again, for the third time in his career, with filmmaker Patrice Leconte. Called Mon meilleur ami, the 23rd feature by the director also features in the cast Dany Boon and Julilie Gayet. Produced by Marc Missonnier and Olivier Delbosc for Fidélité Productions, the film is comedy from on a screenplay co-written by Patrice Leconte and Jérôme Tonnerre (partners for Confidences trop intimes in 2004). Note too that the screenwriter also crossed paths with Daniel Auteuil when he collaborated on the scripts for Quelques jours avec moi (1988) and Un cour en hiver (1992) by Claude Sautet.

Patrice Leconte turns his films out quickly since in Mid-June he shot Bronzés, Amis pour la vie will be released on the 1st February 2006. For his part, Daniel Auteuil worked in 2005 on the set of the comedy L'Entente cordiale by Vincent De Brus (produced by Les Films Christian Fechner) and completed filming this summer on the Italian film N. Napoléon by Paolo Virzì (production Cattleya) alongside Monica Bellucci, two features which will be distributed in 2006.
