Unveiled and out
This week, of ten new films, there are six European productions, plus the British -American feature Pride and Prejudice [+see also:

Three of these movies are entirely German: Der Schatz der weissen Falken, a children's film by Sönke Wortmann (Das Wunder von Bern) produced by Little Shark Entertainment and distributed by Falcom, Hab mich lieb! student's film for the dffb produced by Alfredfilms and distributed by Basis-Film Verleih in which Sylke Enders (who also directed Kroko, national prize-winner) depicts the chaotic relationship of a medical student and her transsexual friend, and Wir waren niemals hier, a documentary by Antonia Ganz about the band Mutter, produced by Die Eigene Gesellschaft and HFF München and distributed by Salzgeber.
One of this week's co-productions is aimed at a young public; Lepel, German and Dutch movie distributed by Atlas intermedia and directed by Willem van de Sande Bakhuyzen depicts the life of a young orphan whose new friend helps him look for a new mother. The much-awaited Unveiled [+see also:

film profile] (Fremde Haut), by Angelina Maccarone, in competition this year in Karlovy Vary, is launched by Ventura Films. This co-production involving Germany (MMM FilmproduktionZimmermann ) and Austria (Markus Fischer Filmproduktion) describes the clandestine life of a homosexual Iranian woman who immigrates to Germany after being sentenced to death in her own country.
Finally, Prokino Filmverleih (Fox) releases the Swedish drama As it is in Heaven [+see also:

film profile], in which Kay Pollak films a famous orchestra conductor who comes back to his old village after illness and decides to conduct the local church choir.
