Go East with IDF

The Institute of Documentary Film (IDF) and the Jihlava International Documentary Film Festival (JIDFF) are organising one of the biggest documentary film events focusing on Eastern European documentary. Parallel to the 9th edition of JIDFF (October 26-30), professionals will be able to attend the 5th East European Forum and the East Silver in Jihlava, Czech Republic.
The East European Forum is dedicated to East European independent producers and directors who will offer 24 documentary projects to the representatives of main European TV stations. The pitching takes place on October the 29-30.
The East Silver DocMarket offers 360 documentaries from the region. The video library, accessible to film professionals only, will be open daily from 9 am to 12 pm. The list of countries represented in the library consists of Austria, Belarus, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Croatia, Hungary, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Serbia and Montenegro, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.
The Industry Section is an integral part of the JIDFF, offering case studies and panel discussions. Among others things, the programme consists of case studies of the successful projects and a panel discussion on the "New Ways of Digital Docu Distribution".
