4 new European films for NonStop

NonStop Entertainment, the Scandinavian distribution company with headquarters in Stockholm, has bought seven new titles at the last Venice and Toronto Film Festivals including four European films.
Three titles in total were acquired from Paris-based Celluloid Dreams: Laurent Cantet’s Heading South [+see also:

film profile] which screened in competition in Venice, Dominik Moll’s Cannes 2005 opening film Lemming [+see also:

film profile], and Takeshi by cult-Japanese director Takeshi Kitano. The trio will be released by NonStop in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and Iceland in 2006.
NonStop also acquired from London-based Icon International Film Sales the Scottish critically-acclaimed film by Gaby Dellal On a Clear Day. The heart-warming film starring Peter Mullan and Brenda Blethyn will be released in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland.
Finally the directorial debut of veteran UK producer Stephen Woolley, Stoned, has been bought from UK sales company Intandem for Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and Iceland. Both titles will also open in 2006 in those territories.
To support the release of their films in Sweden, Dominik Moll and Stephen Woolley will attend the upcoming Stockholm Film Festival (November 17-27), and they will be joined by French director Jacques Audiard whose film The Beat That My Heart Skipped [+see also:
