Cannesmarket.com, has grown a new skin and now sports a snazzy graphic shirt. Created in 1999 by the Cannes Film Market, it has been, for some years now, the reference for cinema professionals in terms of projects in development.
Next to the official Marché du Film web site, Cannesmarket offers cinema professionals interactive tools to consolidate their project and to position themselves upstream and downstream in the film-making circuit. Since the beginning of the year, the site’s visibility has grown extensively thanks to help from the MEDIA Programme of the EU, with more than 2 million pages consulted on average. The site will be updated all year round. Now up and running, it is consolidating its link with the international cinema market thanks to its very complete databases (more than 10 000 professionals signed up and some 4500 films in development listed) and this year it will launch a partnership with the American Film Market.
Due to the complementarity of the sites, Cineuropa and Cannesmarket have made a partnership deal aimed at offering professionals efficient information tools and the opportunity to follow projects in development. Regular exchanges between the two sites will allow internet users to go from one site to the other to find complete and pertinent information.
