Andrew Orr who joined Independent Film Sales -the sales arm of Luc Roeg’s production company- last September as Head of acquisitions, said: "as a new sales company, coming under the UKFCUS umbrella gives us a wonderful opportunity to present our business to the large number of buyers attending AFM in a way that is cost efficient for us and our producers".
Samantha Horley of Lumina Films added: "From my perspective, it means that I am not going to be under pressure to close deals on films in pre-production just to cover my office costs when it would be better for the film to wait".
