éQuinoxe in Vienna
From the 31st of October to the 6th of November, éQuinoxe Germany (www.eQuinoxeGermany.org) hosts the 25th éQuinoxe Screenwriters' Workshop in the Palais Schwarzenberg in Vienna. This meeting allows ten international scriptwriters selected by a jury presided over by Noëlle Deschamps (vice-president and founder of éQuinoxe, Paris) to meet expert advisors.
The Austrian partners of this event are the Austrian Film Institute, the Vienna Film Fund and BKM. éQuinoxe is also supported by the EU MEDIA Plus Program. As Roland Teichmann, managing director of the Austrian Film Institute, underlines, 'it is important, after Canada, Morocco, Germany and France, that Austria is hosting this workshop'. Indeed, the benefits of this event are at least twofold: it stimulates local artists and introduces them to the international guests.
