The unforgiving world of the stock exchange is the setting for Overnight, final piece in the trilogy directed by Hungarian filmmaker Ferenc Török. Following Moscow Square in 2001 and Eastern Sugar (Szezon) in 2004, the 34 year old director from Budapest will take a new angle on his study of the Hungarian generation who became adults during the period which followed the break-up of the Eastern Bloc.

Shooting for Overnight will start in July 2006, produced by Katapult Film headed by Iván Angelusz and Péter Reich. The budget will be around 1 million euros, with 356 000 covered by aid from the la Hungarian Motion Picture Foundation, the producers are currently looking for international finance to complete the package. The task should be easier by their presence at the American Film Market which opened yesterday in Los Angeles, and also Katapult Film has succeeded in its three years of existence in making a strong impact. Founded by eight young directors and two editors from the College of Film and Theatre Arts, the company counts among its members the great hopes of Hungarian cinema such as Dániel Erdélyi, Gábor Fischer, Diana Groó and also György Pálfi.
Very appreciated by a young public since his first feature Moscow Square (final student film), Ferenc Török won two prizes at the 2004 Hungarian Film Week for Eastern Sugar which was then selected for Rotterdam in 2005 in the section Cinema of the Future.
