Philippe Lioret wins in Florence

The Light (o.t. L'équipier) by Philippe Lioret won the Gran Prix France Cinéma 2005 at the 20th edition of the festival held annually in Florence.

The Special Jury Prize, presided over by Marco Bellocchio, went ex-aequo to The Beat That My Heart Skipped (o.t. De battre mon coeur s'est arrêté) by Jacques Audiard and Avanim by Raphaël Nadjari.

Awards also went to actors Vincent Lindon and Emmanuelle Devos, the leads in Emmanuel Carrère’s La moustache, and the young Adrien Jolivet, who starred in Zim & Co by Pierre Jolivet.
