film profile], the second feature from young Hungarian filmmaker Kornel Mundruczo, discovered in May at Cannes in the Certain Regard section (read compte-rendu) is also on the bill in its own country since 10th November (distribution Mokep). Produced by Proton, founded by the director and his co-screenwriter Viktòria Petrànyi (see interview), Johanna also counted on the support of the famous filmmaker Béla Tarr through his company T.T. Filmmühely. Co-producer of the film, the French company The Coproduction Office also handles international sales.
Also, Béla Tarr used his presence at Séville to announce the start on December of shooting on his next film, his adaptation of the George Simenon novel, "L’homme de Londres" (read news) which was suspended due to the sudden death of producer Humbert Balsan last February.
