Verlengd weekend great success

The second film from Belgian director Hans Herbots, released in the cinemas on October 12th, has passed the 100 000 admissions mark, a Belgian record. Distributed by Lumière on 27 screens, the film beat in its opening weekend the heavyweight American film by Terry Gilliam, The Brothers Grimm.

Produced by A Private View, with the support of the Flemish Audiovisual Fund , Verlengd Weekend is the story of two sacked workers who take their boss hostage in his own house in an attempt to obtain compensation for their job-loss and that of their colleagues. Well-known international actor Jan Decleir plays alongside young talent, Koen De Bouw with whom he shared the bill in The Alzheimer Case [+see also:
