General Assembly on November 29 in Rome

In order to call the institutions’ attention to cinema and the entertainment industry in general, the Entertainment Crisis Committee has scheduled a General Assembly for November 29 at 3 p.m. The event will take place in Rome, at the Capranica Conference Center, at which members will request the "the reinstatement of the entire Visual Arts Fund (FUS)," as stated in a press release by AGIS, an umbrella group for all associations and organizations operating in the entertainment industry.

AGIS, ANICA (Italian Association of Cinematographic Audiovisual and Multimedia Industries), unions CGIL, CISL and UIL Spettacolo, ANAC, APT and Doc.it wrote, in a joined letter: "The General Assembly intends to involve, in this initial phase, the Government, Parliament, political parties and national associations in a broad review on the cultural policies of the country and the emergencies of these past weeks. We are anxious to hear the institutions’ intentions in regards to both immediate and long-term plans and to present and discuss all possibilities of reform for a strategic sector, not only for its cultural significance, but also for the important economic and occupational implications."
