The main goal of these pitching sessions is to assure financing from the broadcasters represented in the forum. Pitchers have 7 minutes to present their project to the commissioning editors from 14 European channels: ARTE (France / Germany), BBC (UK), Discovery Channel Europe, FR3 (France), FR5 (France), Humanistic Broadcasting (Holland), Lichtpunt (Belgium), ORF(Austria), RTBF (Belgium), SVT (Sweden), TVE (Spain), TV3, (Spain), YLE (Finland) and ZDF (Germany). The oral pitch may be backed up by a short trailer to show the general style of the documentary. After the presentation, another 7 minutes are available to hear reactions from the members of the panel and individual meetings may also be arranged between pitchers and commissioning editors.

DOCSBARCELONA team and EDN will chose only 24 projects to participate in the forum. The deadline for the submission of projects is January 12th, 2006.
