(o.t. Alles auf Zucker), in which the 48-year-old director Dani Levy turns a Jewish family feud into a farcical comedy too funny and endearing to seem disrespectful, the filmmaker has decided to deal with Hitler.

According to the German press agency DPA, Mein Führer will start shooting in January, based on the script written by Levy himself, who is determined to make 'a politically incorrect comedy (...) with touching moments'. The director chose the subtitle 'the truest of all real truths about Adolf Hitler' ('Die wirklich wahrste Wahrheit über Adolf Hitler') to underline the fact that he intends this film as an 'anti-signal' counteracting all historical documents ever published on the subject. As he did in his previous movie, Levy will focus, not on fascinating characters, but on friendly commoners, which is exactly the key to his success, as Paul Spiegel's comment emphasized —indeed, not only did the head of the Jewish community in Germany like Go Zucker! but he also complimented Levy for 'laughing with us, not at us'. Here, the main character is a Jewich speech-writer who works for Hitler.
Mein Führer - Die wirklich wahrste Wahrheit über Adolf Hitler is also produced by X Filme, in co-production with ZDF.
