Varannan Vecka goes to Rotterdam

The new film by writers/directors Måns Herngren, Hannes Holm, Felix Herngren and Hans Ingemansson Varannan Vecka (Every other Week) is the only Swedish film that has been invited at the upcoming Rotterdam Film Festival (25 January-5 February). It will screen in the festival’s ‘Time And Tide’ Section dedicated to films that reveal the social, political and cultural commitment of their makers.
The film which will be released in Sweden by BVI on January 13, focuses on two brothers played by filmmakers Felix and Måns Herngren. The youngest lives the ‘every-other week’ life of a divorced father with kids and the eldest brother is married. But the latter’s marriage suddently collapses and the lives of the two brothers change radically.
The film is produced by Patrick Ryborn for his company S/S Fladen AB set up in 1998 with filmmakers Hannes Holm and Måns Herngren. The duo who have always worked together, previously directed One In a Million (1995), Adam & Eva (1997), Shit Happens (2000) and The Reunion (2002).
