The stars of the 37th Film Week

The complete programme was revealed yesterday for the 37th Hungarian Film Week which will run in Budapest from the 31st January to the 7th February. The event, which presents each year the best of Magyar production, offers 104 films in four competitive sections (features, documentaries, shorts and experimental films). In the main category, 24 features will battle it out for the 2006 prize, headed by Relatives by István Szabó, Taxidermia [+see also:

by Kornél Mundruczó (screened at the last Cannes Festival in Un Certain Regard), Csoma’s Legendry by Tibor Szemzo and also the highly anticipated White Palms by Szabolcs Hajdu. Also on the menu out of competition are 72 others productions including notably six animated films and TV productions.
