Produced by Bonne Pioche, the documentary on the beguiling birds broke the American box office last year, grossing $77m, more even than Amélie and The Fifth Element by Luc Besson, the top-earning French titles of all time in the US.
The award-winning Darwin’s Nightmare, co-produced by Mille et une productions (France), Coop 99 (Austria) and Saga Film (Belgium), is a bold documentary on the dangers of capitalism and the exploitation of the African peoples.
