Bergamo Film Meeting speaks Occitan

by

The 24th edition of the Bergamo Film Meeting has ended, with the Golden Rosa Camuna Audience Award going to E l'aura fai son vir (lit. “The Wind Takes Its Turn”). Directed by Giorgio Diritti, the film was shot in Alta Val Maira, in the Cuneo province near the French border, and is the first Italian film to be made in the Occitan language.

The Silver Rosa Camuna went to Otkradnati ochi (lit. “Stolen Eyes”) by Radoslav Spassov (Bulgaria/Turkey), while Petr Zelenka’s Wrong Side Up ( Príbehy obycejného sílenství, Czech Republic/Germany/Slovakia) received the Bronze Rosa Camuna.
