FUS: €47.8m for 2006 for cinema
The total financing resources for the production of films of cultural interest will amount to €47,860,000 this year (in 2005, they were substantially higher: €73,975,000). These €47.8m come from the annual state financing quota for cinema of the FUS (Visual Arts Fund) and from the returns of previously produced films of cultural interest.
The General Direction for Cinema of the Ministry of Culture announced the 2006 budget item per item. The €47.86 will be allocated as follows during the three sessions of the commission: €34.5m for feature films of cultural interest; €11.7m for first or second feature films of cultural interest; €960,000 for short films and 700,000 for the development of 20 screenplays (€35,000 per project, 350,000 for two sessions).
