A "Business Street" at the Rome Film Festival

by

The International Rome Film Festival (October 13-21) will feature a market, albeit a small one. The area where professionals will meet, from October 14-16, will be called The Business Street.

Eighty screenings a day will be scheduled. The Excelsior Hotel in Via Vittorio Veneto will set up eight cinemas with 15-20 seats each and thirty video stations, while the Barberini and Fiamma cinemas will offer another seven screens. The terrace of the Bernini Hotel will also be used for market negotiations, with access reserved only to accredited professionals.

According to Diamara Parodi, head of the business area, approximately 350 film professionals have been invited from throughout the world. Countries that have already shown interest in the market include Germany, France, the US and countries from South Asia. The International Rome Film Festival is also considering holding a co-production forum (October 16-18) for the international participants.
