From April 11-23, the 8th Festival internacional de cine independiente in Buenos Aires will be showing four Swiss documentaries: Jo Siffert - Live Fast / Die Young by Men Lareida (Hugofilm, Zurich), Aristide and the Endless Revolution by Nicolas Rossier (Baraka Productions, New York), Face Addict by Edo Bertoglio (Amka Film, Savosa), and Maria Bethânia, música é perfume, directed and produced by Georges Gachot, which is representing Switzerland at the European Showcase organised by European Film Promotion. Within the framework of Film Sales Support, it could also secure financing of up to €5,000.

Thanks to the success of Maria Bethânia on European screens (France, Austria, Spain and the Netherlands), as well as in Brazil, Gachot is, in fact, looking for an Argentinean distributor, which should not be difficult given the high number of admissions in the country for his previous film on pianist Martha Argerich.
