, is the recipient of the prestigious award of Best Norwegian Film of 2005, which was handed to her by Astrid Kolbjørnsen, head of the Norwegian Film Critics Association.

The 60 year-old association, which counts over 80 members, called Kissed By Winter “a melancholic meditation about loss, told with warmth and a good dose of humour”. Last year’s winner was Erik Poppe’s Hawaii, Oslo [+see also:

Produced by the dynamic new production duo Christian Fredrik Martin and Alse Vatn of Friland AS, Kissed By Winter has been collecting top international awards all throughout 2005 and was this year’s Norwegian entry at the Oscars. Last Saturday, it was Italian audiences’ turn to discover the film, which was presented by Johnsen at the Rome Independent Film Festival (April 7-14).

Non Stop Sales is handling worldwide sales on the film.
