The RIFF - Roma Independent Film Festival closed with the awarding of Best Feature Film to Self-Medicated by Monty Lapica (US) and a Special Mention for Best Debut Film to Belgium’s L’Iceberg [+see also:

The jury, made up of Ronald Shusett, Benjamin N. Minot, João Paulo Macedo, Daniela Bisogni, Flavio Della Rocca, Leticia Gutierrez, Matteo Patruno, Michael Margotta and Ramses Marzouk, further awarded the Best Documentary prize to Karen Blixen: Out of This World by Marcus Mandal and Anna Von Lowzow (Denmark/Kenya/US) and Best Feature Screenplay to 104368 by Pino di Persio and Roberto Attias.

During the festival, the New Visions Award was also given to Norway’s Sara Johnsen for Kissed By Winter [+see also:

film profile]. The Audience Award for the most loved Italian film went to Il nostro segreto by Mauro Mancini.
