The director’s second feature film follows the (mis)fortunes of Belgian Michel (Gourmet) who, upon discovering that he was adopted as a baby, heads to Canada to track down his biological parents. A series of coincidences and a chance encounter with the enigmatic Louis (Ahmarani) sets in motion a series of life-changing events. What ensues is a compelling enigma where each scene provides a new piece of the puzzle. Falardeau’s debut feature, La moitié gauche du frigo, won the Best Canadian First Feature at Toronto and was released in France by Pierre Grise Distribution in 2002.

Congorama was produced by Canada’s Micro-scope (Luc Déry and Kim McCraw) in co-production with Tarantula Production in Belgium (Joseph Rouschop) and in France (Éric Tavitian), with co-financing from SODEC, Telefilm Canada, Communauté Française de Belgique, Wallimage and the CNC. Christal Films will release the film in Canada.
