Lucas Belvaux (Belgium), François Ozon (France) and Marc Recha (Spain) are among the filmmakers who will hold masterclasses at the second edition of the Angers Workshops (June 30 – July 9).

Directors whose films have been selected include Slovenia’s Blaz Kuttin (winner of the 2006 European Union New Talent award, see news), Belgium’s Savina Dellicour (graduate of the NFTS, London), Norway’s Jakob Rorvik (selected in the Cinéfondation at Cannes 2005), Argentinean director of Swiss origin Milagros Mumenthaler, Lithuania’s Dovile Gaisiunaite and France’s Roland Edzard (Grand Jury Prize for films from European schools at the 2006 Premiers Plans festival), Christophe Le Masne and Emmanuel Saget.

Comprising film screenings, practical work on films by young filmmakers and exercises in directing, the workshops will first look at digital production with digital post-production specialist Franck Montagne and Belgian DoP Louis-Philippe Capelle.
