by

After a 10-week shoot in Madrid, Seville, Toledo and Segovia, Buscando a Emma (lit. "Searching Emma") is currently being edited by renowned Spanish editor Jose Salcedo (who has worked on some of Almodóvar's most famous titles). The film is expected to be finished in August and set to be distributed domestically this September.

After Sucedió en España (2002) and Ilusiones rotas 11M (2005), Buscando a Emma is the third feature by Alex Quiroga, who here embarks on a journey in the thriller genre. "I am fond of challenges and this story has suspense, violence and conspiracy from the very first minute," said the director.

Starring Cristina Goyanes, Franchesca Stauss and Jorge Lucas, Buscando a Emma tells the story of a young English woman who loses her memory after a car crash. By the time she wakes up in the hospital there is an elegant woman at her bedside who claims she is a former classmate. As she recovers, Emma begins to suspect that there is a plot being hidden from her.

Buscando a Emma was produced by Alex Media Grupo and F. Pérez Jiménez on a €545,000 budget.
