Capitol reshuffles sales management

London sales company Capitol Films has promoted Eve Schoukroun from senior sales manager to head of sales, a position previously held by Simon Crowe, who is leaving the company at the end of June.
James Norrie has also been recruited at Capitol as the new sales director from Icon Entertainment, where he was most recently sales manager. He is joining former colleague and former Icon Entertainment CEO Nick Hill, joint-managing director of Capitol with Jane Barclay.
Commenting on the company’s new sales team, Barclay said “We are sorry to see Simon leave the company but wish him well in his new venture. In promoting Eve to run the sales team we recognize that she is an experienced sales executive with a very strong track record and will play a vital part in helping to take Capitol onto the next stage of its development. We are very pleased to welcome James to the company knowing that his excellent relationships with the distribution community will contribute greatly to Capitol’s increased activity”
Other recent appointments include Humphrey Gravell as head of Collections and Cheryl Chow as Financial Controller. At this week’s London Film Focus, Capitol Films is premiering the $40m spy adventure Stormbreaker,which has been pre-sold to numerous territories, including France (Metropolitan), Italy (Medusa), Belgium (Belga) and Scandinavia (Scanbox). The Alex Rider franchise goes on general release in the UK on July 21.
