Fourth half-time for football fans
Matches from the young footballers of The Wild Soccer Bunch (Die wilden Kerle) are now an almost yearly event. Following the success of the first film, released by Buena Vista International (DE) in October 2003 and by the second in February 2005, and the big German box office success Die wilden Kerle 3 (which to date has garnered over 2m admissions since its March release), producers Ewa Karlström and Andreas Ulmke-Smeaton (of Munich-based outfit SamFilm) are determined not to be distracted by the football World Cup currently taking place in Germany. On July 11, the director Joachim Masannek will start shooting Die wilden Kerle 4, which he has scripted yet again.
The tried and trusted cast will remain unchanged. Jimi Blue Ochsenknecht and Wilson Gonzalez Ochsenknecht will play the brothers Leon and Marlon, while Sarah Kim Gries will continue to play Vanessa and Raban Bieling (Raban), Nick Romeo Reimann (Nerv), Konrad Baumann (Juli), Kevin Iannotta (Joschka), Marlon Wessel (Maxi) and Leon Wessel-Masannek (Markus) all feature once again in the cast’s line-up.
The release date has already been decided on, with Buena Vista releasing the film on German screens on February 1, 2007.
