Rutelli: €50m more for the Visual Arts Fund from government
The FUS (Visual Arts Fund) will have €50m more for each of the following three years (2006, 2007, 2008). This measure, which reintegrates the entertainment industry funds cut by the previous government, was announced by Minister of Culture Francesco Rutelli.
The quota of the FUS intended for cinema is 18%. "Let it be understood,” said Minister Rutelli, “that we want to reintegrate resources as well as reform the sector".
In order to establish the priorities of the measure, the first meeting between the Minister and the associations representing the entertainment industry has been set for Thursday, July 6.
