Other advances on receipts at the session were given to Junior by Jean-Pierre Duret and Andrea Santana (an Ex Nihilo production), Un homme ou une femme (lit. “A Man or a Woman”) by Luc Leclerc du Sablon (produced by Les Films Français, the company of director Pascal Thomas), Home Sweet Home by Didier Le Pêcheur (a Programme 33 production) and StoryOfJean by François Roger (Les Films à Un Dollar).
Simone Bitton’s Rachel (a Ciné Sud Promotion production) also attracted the attention of the commission with a story about the life and death of Rachel Corrie, a young American pacifist crushed by an Israeli bulldozer on the Gaza Strip in 2003.
