MAIA teaches co-production networking

The second seminar organized by MAIA Workshops, to be held in Budapest (August 28-29) and entitled "The key role of networking in European co-productions", is aimed at new European producers, as well as screenwriters, directors, and film school and university students.

In collaboration with Media Desk Hungary, the seminar will include experts such as Karl Baumgartner (Pandora Film, Germany), Sophie Bourdon (Director of ACE - Ateliers du Cinéma Européen), Christina Kallas (Balkan Film Fund) and Marit van den Elshout (Director of CineMart Rotterdam).

MAIA Workshops – a new training program dedicated to the development of audiovisual projects, created by Fabulafilm with support from the MEDIA Programme – has programmed its second residential workshop in Rome (September 18-23, 2006), on access to private and public funds in Europe, marketing and distribution, legal matters and international co-productions, a calendar and preparation of films for markets and festivals.

A third seminar will also be held in Rome (November 6-7, 2006), on digital innovation and its future in European cinema in terms of the varying quality of writing, narrative structure and directing.
