FESTIVALS Italy

Tribeca and Roma exchange films

by

The Tribeca Film Festival (TFF) of New York will collaborate with the Rome Film Festival (October 13-21, 2006), presenting a series of films from its 2006 springtime edition. Similarly, several films presented during the first edition of the Rome Film Festival will be screened at Tribeca in 2007 (April 25-May 6).

The Tribeca Film Festival was founded in 2002 by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal and Craig Hatkoff in response to the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center.

"The collaboration between the two festivals strengthens the cultural bond between New York and Rome. The Rome Film Festival has put together a highly diverse programme for its inaugural edition, and the Tribeca Film Festival is happy to share with Rome several of our jurors’ favourite films", said TFF President Jennifer Maguire Isham.
