has just snapped up two major awards at the Sarajevo Film Festival.

The film was awarded the Heart of Sarajevo for Best Film, while its Bosnian actress Marija Skaricic picked up Best Actress.

Produced by Zurich outfit Dschoint Ventschr, the debut feature by Andrea Staka will also be presented in Korea at the Pusan International Film Festival (October 12-20), in Germany at the Hof Film Days (October 24-29), and in Spain at the Seville European Film Festival (November 3-11). The film opens in Switzerland in September.

Staka (33) lives in Zurich and New York. The Swiss director, of Serbo-Croatian origin and educated at the Zurich Art School, already has several shorts and medium-length films to her name, including the multiple prizewinner Hotel Belgrad, as well as a successful feature-length documentary, Yugodivas.
