Palazzo Venezia Festival presented on Lido
Over 200 documentaries from 26 nations and more. The Palazzo Venezia. Arte e Musica Festival (September 8-29) kicks off in Rome with "Gassmaniadi", a video homage over eight hours long to the great Italian actor Vittorio Gassman.
The free event, which will take place daily at Palazzo Venezia from 6 pm to midnight, is composed of two parts: the international series of films and documentaries on art, architecture, film and theatre, and the international series of films and documentaries on music and dance.
Presented today at the Cinecittà space at the Lido’s Hotel Excelsior by artistic director Rubino Rubini, this event will also have ties to Venice, where, from September 11-16, to coincide with the opening of the 2006 Architecture Biennale and sponsored by Telecom Italia Future Centre, videos and documentaries from the archives of Doc Fest dedicated to the most famous architects and their work will be shown.
