, produced by Friland Film, has passed the magical mark of 100,000 admissions in only 14 days, a record for a Norwegian film at home.

The film, released by Sandrew Metronome on August 25, just after having opened the Haugesund Film Festival, is still second at the domestic box office with a total of 115,000 attendances, after the football comedy Playing Wide [+see also:

),Uro is the story of a delinquent-turned-undercover policeman investigating drug trafficking, who exposes one of his best friends. The film was produced by Christian Fredrik Martin – Norway’s Producer On The Move in Cannes this year – with Asle Vatn for Friland Film. Paris-based Rezo Filmis handling international and domestic distribution in France.

Uro’s strong performance at home is yet another success for Friland Film, who also scored last year with Tommy’s Inferno, the directorial debut of Ove Raymond Gyldenås and produced last year’s Norwegian Oscar entry Kissed by Winter [+see also:

Last Sunday in Toronto, both Martin and Vatn celebrated their selection among this year’s “10 producers to watch” in trade magazine Variety.
