General doc meeting in Bologna
The second edition of the General Meeting on Documentary Films kicks off tomorrow in Bologna, and features four days of debates and films through Sunday.
The theme of the biennial meeting – promoted by Doc/It, the association of Italian documentary filmmakers, in collaboration with the Emilia Romagna Region, the City of Bologna and the Cineteca of Bologna – is this year "seeking out a relationship with television networks capable of guaranteeing visibility and space to documentary films as well as greater involvement in the debate between territorial associations, in particular the regions, to favour a policy of backing documentary films”, explained Alessandro Signetto, president of Doc/it.
