The film’s principal sources of financing were France 3 Cinéma (€1.3m), France 2 Cinéma (€1.1m), advances on receipts from the CNC (€500,000) and several regional funds. The film was a 10% co-production by Belgian outfit Versus Production.

Distribution – Sales
Opening on 460 screens on September 27 in France through Mars Distribution , Days of Glory has been sold internationally by Films Distribution since its competition screening at the 2006 Cannes Film Festival.

Several territories have been secured since then: the UK (Metrodome Distribution), Spain (Notro Films), Denmark (Ost For Paradis), Sweden (Folkets Bio ), Belgium (opening through Belga Film on October 4), the Netherlands (Belga Film, November 30), Poland (Gaby), Turkey, Brazil, China, Korea, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and North America (Weinstein Company and IFC Films).

This list dated September 20 could yet get longer with the film shortlisted as Algerian candidate in the 2007 Oscar nominations for Best Foreign Language Film.
