London to Brighton wins at Dinard

Victory and a Golden Hitchcock greeted London to Brighton, the debut feature by Paul Andrew William, at the close of the 17th Dinard British Film Festival (see news September 25).

Winner of Best Young Director at this year’s Edinburgh Film Festival, London to Brighton – produced by Steel Mill Pictures, Wellington Films and LTB Films Limited – stars Lorraine Stanley, Johnny Harris, Sam Spruell, Georgia Groome and Alexander Morton. The film will be released in the UK on December 1 through Vertigo Films.

The 2006 edition of the Dinard Festival also awarded Menhaj Huda’s Kidulthood Best Screenplay, while the Audience Award went to Pierrepoint by Adrian Shergold.
