Paid and Exit for Non Stop

by

Stockholm-based Non Stop Sales has just picked up two new thrillers: the Dutch-produced, English-language film Paid, starring French actress Annie Charrier and Brazilian star Murilo Benício, and Swedish film Exit, starring Mads Mikkelsen.

“Thrillers are often in great demand and we think Paid has the ingredients to work”, said Michael Werner, Non Stop’s head of sales. Paid is the feature debut by Laurence Lamers and was produced by Dutch outfit Slavenburg Films. The film noir tells the story of underground characters that have come to regret the choices they have made and now secretly long for a better life. It’s also a love story between Parisian call girl Paula Gireaux (played by newcomer Charrier) and a hit man (Benício).

The international cast also includes British actor Tom Conti, France’s Guy Marchand and Italy’s Beppe Clerici. The film had its premiere early October at the Netherlands Film Festival.

Exit, the new thriller by Peter Lindmark ( Point Blank), is based on the book "Dödlig Exit" (Deadly Exit) written by venture capitalists Håkan Ramsin and Jesper Kärrbrink and tells the story of Thomas (Mikkelsen), a man who has it all: a thriving family and career. But when his company’s most lucrative business deal ever is about to close, something goes terribly wrong.

Other cast members include Alexander Skarsgård (About Sara), Börje Ahlstedt ( Saraband [+see also:

Both films will have their international market premieres at the American Film Market in November. Other titles on NonStop’s AFM line-up include New York Waiting, screening at the RomeFilmFest, and Norwegian hit Comrade Pedersen.
